After opening a new play doh variety pack with lots of fun colours my little boy decided he wanted to make "some trick or treat" .. it took a few times of him saying it for me to clue in to his fun idea .. we then proceeded to follow his plan and made lots of little play doh candies then spent some time choosing through his dress up clothes getting ready for a trip around the house playing trick or treat. I would quickly run and close different doors that he would then knock on excitedly screaming "trick or treat"!! He chose his "candy" using every door of every room until every candy was gone.
We met back at the table as he dumped out his loot and we went through each and every one. I chose a blue piece and pronounced "blueberry"!!! he followed in line and named all kinds of yummy fruit treats .. raspberry, pineapple, strawberry, grapefruit, etc and we play ate each one. Of course we also had some chocolate ones too, but it was fun to associate his candy treats with all kinds of yummy fruits and although by the time we get through this Falls Halloween he will be older and may not associate Halloween candy with fruit Ha! for now I will take delight in his excitement of this fruity fun time.
