We  had another lovely visit at our yearly  Courges & Cie Squash Farm visit. Gathering a full supply of squashes for all manner of cooking .. gnocchi .. bread .. pies .. and soup and soup! This place is so special!! with over 100 varieties of Squash along with detailed cooking/eating instructions for each one. I also picked up a few varieties that were excellent simply pan fried and also eaten raw in salads.

The purpose of these trips are for our enjoyment but also for our little guys learning experience . We enjoyed fried Delicata squash rings and pumpkin donuts offered in the cafe .. which my son hesitantly but ultimately quite enjoyed [the fried squash that is!  .. the devoured donuts were devoured easily ..]

We have also enjoyed some fun play projects to share .. making our own little pumpkin patch using clay and molding tools. We even ventured in to the world of decoupage crafting  small hand held pumpkins and stems which we turned into "pumpkin people" after a few days using sticks from fallen trees for arms and legs.

Such a fun and  enriching season Autumn is ..  to be enjoyed and appreciated in every way possible!
