I do hope you enjoy the changes as much as I do!
In all of my excitement for this New 2015 Year I am very much looking forward to a continued growth in journaling my sons [and our families] food tasting adventures, mishaps, surprises ...
Well, here is a little activity to share so that it is not forget for future play! A fun little something Mama & Son did together to strengthen that love for the meal ..
Found! this great beading kit at St.Vincents and was taken with its big chunky beads and large thick red string meant for a younger child, but since my little guy isn't into the whole beading thing as of yet .. I thought this one looked like it just might be high time to try again and see if he just might giver a go.
As he began loading the beads onto the string I mentioned that maybe it was a snake? ..oh his imaginative little self got giddy with excitement as he pondered the opportunity to make this snake get bigger and bigger with each bead.
I then asked him what the snake was eating to get so big? I chose a bead and said it was "spinach! yum yum yum" .. then he chose and purple and said "a blueberry! yum yum yum" ..and we continued on like this emptying and sharing ideas of what the snake was eating. It was a great fun little time together and I found it interesting some of his choices like potatoes [which to date he has tasted but does not eat] and chocolate [which he loves]
..and then he ran around the house with his beaded well fed snake for over an hour! Wow! just wow
